Seven Current Trends in Federal Cybersecurity:

Periodically, here at RegDOX, we find it useful to take a step back from the security issues and events of the day and make sure that we are planning appropriately for the latest federal cybersecurity trends.

So, here is today’s list:

  1.  Emphasis on threat intelligence and sharing in order to proactively prevent attacks.
  2.  Implementation of zero trust security architecture to secure networks and devices.
  3.  Use of artificial intelligence and machine learning that enhances security and streamlines incident response.
  4.  Increased adoption of cloud computing and a focus on securing cloud environments.
  5.  The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) devices into federal networks, and the need for securing these devices.
  6.  Implementation of continuous security monitoring and vulnerability management programs.
  7.  Development of new security standards, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, to enhance the overall security posture.

As we review these trends, we see that we have had the foresight to be at the leading edge of many of them.

Particularly in our focus on intelligence and sharing to anticipate and avoid attacks, providing a CUI cloud environment with the highest commercially available security and most diverse set of features and functions, and implementing persistent tracking, security monitoring, and reporting. We know we have not only been correct in anticipating the evolution of expectations and standards but also, we remain ahead of federal cybersecurity requirements.

We look forward to introducing new RegDOX products and services being developed that use machine learning in order to further enhance our threat identification capabilities and provide the most secure, robust, and efficient environments for CUI storage and collaboration.
