At RegDOX, our mission has always been to deliver secure, compliant cloud collaboration solutions that help defense contractors, research institutions, and regulated enterprises protect their most sensitive data. Today, we’re proud to share an important milestone in that mission: RegDOX has achieved FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency, validated through an independent assessment by A-LIGN, a FedRAMP-recognized Third-Party Assessment Organization (3PAO).

This achievement reinforces our commitment to transparency, security, and measurable compliance. For our customers operating under DFARS 252.204-7012, DFARS 252.204-7020, NIST SP 800-171, or CMMC 2.0 requirements, RegDOX’s validated environment delivers the same confidence and control as a fully FedRAMP-authorized cloud service.

What FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency Means

Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is the U.S. government’s framework for standardizing the security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring of cloud service providers used by federal agencies. It ensures consistent application of NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 controls, protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of federal data.

FedRAMP Equivalency provides a recognized path for cloud service providers to demonstrate compliance with FedRAMP Moderate requirements. It allows providers to meet required standards without obtaining a formal Authorization to Operate (ATO). In this process, an independent 3PAO performs a detailed assessment of the cloud environment. The provider then submits a validated Body of Evidence (BoE) to qualified assessors for review and confirmation.

In short, achieving FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency means that RegDOX’s SaaS platform meets the same technical and procedural standards as FedRAMP Moderate Authorized systems, giving customers a trusted, verified, and compliance-aligned environment for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

The Validation Process

To reach this milestone, RegDOX engaged A-LIGN, an accredited FedRAMP 3PAO, to perform a comprehensive assessment of our cloud environment against the FedRAMP Moderate baseline. The evaluation included:

  • Verification of NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 control implementations.
  • Review of system documentation, policies, and continuous monitoring processes.
  • Testing of access management, encryption, and incident response procedures.
  • Validation of DFARS 7012 and 7020 compliance requirements.

A-LIGN’s findings confirmed that RegDOX’s security architecture, control execution, and documentation align fully with the FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency criteria.

This independent validation ensures that our customers inherit a tested, trusted environment capable of supporting compliance for defense contracting, research, and federal programs.

Why It Matters for RegDOX Customers

For organizations working with the Defense Industrial Base or managing Controlled Unclassified Information, compliance can often feel like a balancing act between security requirements and operational efficiency. RegDOX’s FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency simplifies that process.

Our customers gain:

  • Inherited compliance controls aligned with DFARS, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC 2.0.
  • Reduced audit complexity by using a platform already validated against FedRAMP Moderate standards.
  • Verified protection for sensitive data across collaboration, file sharing, and workflow tools.
  • Confidence in documentation backed by a 3PAO assessment

Ultimately, choosing RegDOX means working with a solution provider that truly delivers on compliance. We don’t just claim it; we prove it through independent verification. Our team maintains a continuous commitment to meeting evolving federal security standards.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Achieving FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency is a significant step forward, but it’s not the finish line. RegDOX continues to align with the latest federal cybersecurity frameworks, including:

  • Full support for CMMC 2.0 readiness across all certification levels.
  • Continuous monitoring and vulnerability management under NIST
  • Expansion of compliance-ready features for defense, research, and higher education environments.

As regulatory requirements advance, RegDOX remains focused on one goal: enabling organizations to collaborate securely while maintaining full confidence in their compliance posture.
